Typically a restoration involves a complete tear-down of all components (every nut and bolt of every piece), then everything is repaired or replaced — and or sent out to be replated, rechromed, polished, powder coated, painted, machined, rebuilt, etc. For trouble free service, all electrics are updated to solid state including electronic ignition.
